Inner Portal Studio is owned and run by myself, Tarekith, a Seattle-based producer, musician, and DJ. While I spent the early years of my musical career playing guitar and studying music theory, I soon fell in love with electronic music, performing live, DJing, and the usual knob-tweaking that goes along with producing music. I've had music released on numerous international labels in my career, was once picked as a Shure Future Sound Of Chicago DJ (where I previously lived), and I have been a software and hardware beta-tester for some of the largest musical instrument manufacturers in the world including Access, Emu, Ableton, Presonus, Audiofile Engineering, and Roland.

Around 2003, I started having other producers contact me to help them make their tracks sound more polished and full-sounding. As time went on, word spread and I started getting more and more producers coming to me to "master" their demos. Soon I realized that this was something I truly enjoyed doing, and I set out to learn as much as I could about the art of mastering, while continuing to expand and hone my skills (and ears) along the way.

In August 2009, I decided it was finally time to quit my day job as a bio-tech engineer and do mastering full-time. I started Inner Portal Studio, providing mastering and audio production expertise to musicians and producers of all levels on a full-time basis. Through solely word of mouth referrals, I've been fortunate to work on thousands of releases and DJ mixes to date.

My goal in mastering is simple, I want to correct any mistakes an artist may not have been aware of in their recordings, in the least intrusive way possible. I aim to make each musician's song sound better, without changing it any more than is absolutely necessary. It's your song, not mine, so I try and make sure that each and every track I work on retains the feeling and sonic signature unique to that artist. Along the way I also try and offer production advice and tips that producers might find helpful in the future.
